Derek Jarman’s Caravaggio movie is really busting my balls in relationship to this art history exam. It is absolutely unrealistic and unscholarly to discuss Caravaggio’s work in relationship to his (supposed) homosexuality, especially as an intrinsic part of his style and motivations.
